Terms of Service — djour
djour Terms of Service
The short version: djour is a community built on honest food writing. Be genuine, respect other people, and don't post anything you wouldn't stand behind. We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that undermine the community's integrity.

Who can use djour

djour is available to anyone 13 or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

There are two types of accounts:

  • Viewers — browse the feed, save posts, follow contributors. Free, open to all.
  • Contributors — post reviews, photos, and videos. Requires application review or an invite from an existing contributor.

Your content

You own everything you post. By submitting content to djour, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute it within the app and on djour's platforms.

You are responsible for what you post. By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • It is your original work or you have the right to share it
  • It does not infringe on anyone else's copyright or privacy
  • It is an honest account of your genuine experience
  • It does not include sponsored or paid content without disclosure

Community standards

djour's value comes from honest, specific food writing. We expect all contributors to uphold that standard.

Every post is reviewed by a human before it goes live. We look for genuine specificity — dish names, prices, honest assessments. We reject hype.

The following are not allowed on djour:

  • Fake or fabricated reviews
  • Paid or sponsored content posted as genuine opinion
  • Harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse of any person or group
  • Content that violates anyone's privacy
  • Spam, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or manipulation of any kind
  • Content that is illegal under applicable law

Invite codes

Contributors may receive invite codes to share with people they want to bring into the community. Invite codes are personal — they should not be sold, traded, or shared publicly. Misuse of invite codes may result in account suspension.

Account suspension and removal

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, undermine community integrity, or engage in behavior that harms other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of serious violations.

If your account is suspended and you believe it was in error, email us at hello@djourformore.com.

Intellectual property

djour's name, logo, and design are our intellectual property. Don't use them without permission. Everything else — the reviews, photos, and writing — belongs to the contributors who created it.

Disclaimers

djour is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. Reviews on djour reflect the opinions of individual contributors — we don't verify the accuracy of every claim.

We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or availability of any restaurant or food establishment listed or discussed on djour.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use djour after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
